Let's work together to restore and protect our rivers and wetlands!

Thanks to funding provided by the NB Wildlife Trust Fund, we worked with the local all-terrain vehicle (ATV) group to conserve our natural resources for future generations!

The purpose of this project was to improve the quality of natural habitat through various assessment, awareness and restoration activities; the ultimate goal was to meet the needs of people who enjoy outdoor recreation while meeting the needs necessary to maintain the integrity of our ecosystem. Our goals were achieved thanks to the generous collaboration of Club Skiroue Inc. and the New Brunswick All-Terrain Vehicle Federation Inc., the NB Department Energy and Resource Development, and the NB Department of Environment and Local Government.

This project consisted of various components that helped us strengthen our relationship with ATV users in our area, to identify the importance and role of wetlands, to carry out wetland and buffer zone restoration efforts and to contribute the modification of an ATV crossing.

Thank you to everyone who contributed, in one way or another, to the success of this project. Special thanks to Club Skiroue Inc. members and students of the Environmental Technology Program (NBCC-Miramichi). A special thanks to Ricky Richard for the remarkable work you did towards the construction aspect of the project.

Working together is part of the solution!
